Somatic Experiential Group
This group is ideal for those struggling with Trauma, Anxiety, PTSD, Depression, Social Anxiety, and other situational disorders. We meet in a small group of no more than 5 and go through a variety of mental and physical exercises that speak directly to the areas of the brain to promote a sense of calm. The goal is to teach a calm reflex you can access at anytime. You will experience calm in this 1 hour group. We discuss neuro-anatomy, psychoeducation, mediation and prayer, guided imagery using our imaginations, and simple yoga stretches and postures. There is a refreshment provided as the group moves into another room to bond and discover commonalities. The program is 6 weeks long and meets on Saturday morning. Your insurance may cover the cost or you may have a copay of about $20.
